5th Freshers’ Day Celebrated at DBC Golaghat with Most Rev Albert Hemrom DD as Chief Guest

Freshers’ Day was celebrated with various programs at Don Bosco College, Golaghat today.

Bishop Albert Hemrom was present as the chief guest on the occasion and was traditionally welcomed. While addressing the students, he called upon the students to pay special attention to their own health, education and various other activities they do .

Various dance, song, music and computer related programs were organized on this occasion. At the same time, the Learning Management System was inaugurated by Bishop Albert Hemrom.

On this occasion, the birthday of the college’s Principal Jose Palely was also celebrated .

Father Bimal, Father Mathew, Sister Reena – Ciciliamma – Sheela and students were present on this occasion.

Get energised at the college to realise your targets, says Coadj Bishop Elect, Rev Fr. Albert Hemrom

28 Jan:  Rev Fr. Albert Hemrom, Coadj Bishop Elect of Dibrugarh diocese visited the college and interacted with the students. The students welcomed Rev Fr. Albert with songs and bouquets and the Principal, Fr. Dr. Jose Palely welcomed Rev Fr. Albert and gave a short report about the college and its activities. In his message, he invited the staff and students to pursue their goals and set targets by getting energised and enthusiastically pursuing the goals. “If you are not motivated at this stage of your life, you will find it difficult to reach the zenith of your life”, he said.

After his message he gave away the merit certificates to the students who excelled in the various competitions.

He began the day with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist for the college community. After the mass, he visited the CSJB sisters who are collaborating with the Salesians in the running of the college and interacted with them.
