“Mind Spark”, The first Education Departmental magazine, released during the celebration of International Women’s Day

8 March 2019: Rev Sr. Ciciliyamma KM released the first issue of the Education Departmental Magazine today during the celebration of international Women’s Day.
The first publication contained articles, stories, poems, thoughts, jokes, sketches and photographs depicting the staff and students of the departments and the various activities. Klaretso Engtipi, James Soreng, Priya Minj, Rajesh Minj, Priyanka Terangpi, Anjana Guria, Clementina Toppo, Anil Kandulna, Dilbar Barla, Romanus Lugun, Ajay Bara and Victor Kullu were some of the contributors.
Messages from the Principal, Vice Principal & PRO and Administrator & IQAC Coordinator adorned the magazine. We congratulate the editorial team, Manoj Mirdha and Klaretso Engtipi, the staff and the contributors for their hard work and for igniting the minds through this publication.
Span of attention gradually decreases with the increasing number of stimuli

26 Feb 19: The students of the department of Education under the guidance of Asst. Professor Banya Kasturi Dutta, conducted an experiment to verify whether the hypothesis that the span of attention gradually decreases with the increasing number of stimuli.
The students were made to observe individually a number of Dots of varying numbers from 3 to 12 in random order and their observations were recorded. The students found that upto 6 dots, all could easily identify, the accuracy of observation failed with the increasing number of dots.
The 6th Sem students get their first exposure in the new educational Lab of the college

12 Feb 19: Asst. Prof. Banya Kasturi of the Department of Education, gave the first exposure to the 6th sem students of the Department of Education in the newly installed Education lab of the college. This is the first batch from the department of Education that will graduate this year from the college. The students were very enthusiastic to handle the equipment and learn.

30 Nov: Asst. Prof Himadri Dutta, Dept of Assamese, Asst. Prof Daisy Gogoi, Asst. Prof. Joyanti Nag and Asst. Prof. Banya Kasturi Dutta from the Dept of Education are on the way to Salesian College Sonada to participate in the Forte 2018 scheduled to be held from 1-5 Dec 2018. It is a Faculty Orientation in Research & Teaching Excellence program organised by the Salesian College Sonada in collaboration with AIAHE. We wish our participants in the program a great learning experience.

1 Aug: The principal welcomed all the staff and students and exhorted them to a life of study and pursuit of academic excellence. He welcomed the new staff – Ms. Banya Kasturi Dutta, Dept of Education, Ms. Steffy Joy, Jesus Youth Full timer, and Ms. Rimi Sharma, Dept of Political Science.
On this day, the students who secured 100% attendance in the previous academic year 2017-18 were given certificates and cash awards.
Staff Selection interview for the department of Education held on 18 June at Dibrugarh

18 Jun : The staff selection interview was held on 18 June 2018 from 9.45 am – 12.30 pm. Six candidates participated in the interview. Prof. Neeta Kalita Barua from the department of Education, DU was the chair person for the interview. Dr. Mun Kalita from the department of Eduation, DU was the subject expert. Along with Dr. Jose Palely, the Principal and Fr. Mathew C Paul M.Arch, Governing Body member, the two professors from the Dibrugarh University formed the Panel for the interview. The following candidates were ranked and listed for appointment against vacancy.
