Sky International Academy organises career awareness at the college campus today

26 Sept 19: Sky INternational Academy Pvt Ltd, conducted a seminar based on Career Guidance. Two members of the Institute , Ms. Nilakshi Borgohain and Amrita Sinha were the resource persons.
Ms. Nilakshi began the seminar by asking the students “What do you want from your life? All want money, happiness, respect etc,” she said.
She distinguished between traditional and non-traditional careers,some examples of the latter being, Hospitality, Travel & Tourism, Air Hostess, Photographer, Dancer, Singer etc.
She presented Sky International as an institute that provides and equips the youth in careers like Aviation, Hospitality & Travel, Hotel Management, Spoken English & Personality development, Front Office Executive, F&B Services and Tour Operators.
She invited the students to dream big and choose their career and not to depend on parents or imitate their peers.

Career course trainees go creative with news paper

15 Sept: The career course trainees were given opportunity to prepare with news papers creative hats within a short time. They came out with wonderful designs and shapes. It was very interesting in seeing them so absorbed in the work and doing something fantastic. The career course is offered by Quest Alliance and there are two batches of 25 students each are undegoing training for the same.

5 March: A 25 hour training programme on My Quest My Career began on Sunday at 10.30 am. The programme helps the participants through career and life skills training to have a strong linkage between Learning and livelihood.
The programme introduces ideas and skills for building life skills leading to better learning outcomes. This programme aims to influence the participants’ preparedness to face the world of work and life in general.
Dr. Ruth Nengneilhing, Ms. Sushmita Bora Rongpipi, Sr. Reena P. George and Mr. Harmeet Singh along with the Principal and Vice Principal initiated the programme. 86 students of Don Bosco College have joined for the programme and they are divided into 3 groups. The college has modified the timetable to make the Career Learning programme to be part of the college curriculum.
Four staff to participate in Training of Trainers on Life Skills and Career Development – 22-27 Jan 2017

Jan 20: Four Asst. Professors from the college are short listed to participate in the ” Training of Trainers on Life Skills and Career Development” organised by the QUEST Alliance from 22-27 January 2017.
This training programme will provide opportunity to partner with Quest Alliance in providing Life skill and Career Development opportunities to the college students and the youth of the neighbourhood.
