Students take up Departmental Activities on Friday

1 Mar 19: The staff and students gathered in each department class room to carry out the various planned activities. The Department of Political Science continued its presentation on the Profile of the North Easter STate. Today Isdhar Toppo presented a Power point on on the state of Tripura, Lungthandim Dangmei on Meghalaya and Sentui Kitnya, Gaimeisin Kamson and Romanus Tirkey on Nagaland.

The department of Education, Sociology and Commerce also focused on Wall Magazine while the depart of English took up an audiovisual program with literary theme. The students were very much enthusiastic to give their very best to the departmental activity.

Sr. Reena P George conducts team building dynamics for Career Training Participants

21 Feb 19:  Sr. Reena P George, Career Trainer and Asst. Professor, Department of English, took team building dynamics for the 25 participants of the Career Training Program.  The trainees were divided into three groups. Each group was given two bricks. with the help of the bricks and a helper, each team member had to reach the target area. When all the members of the team reaches the target, the games is completed.

Based on the experience of the trainees, a discussion was held and many points were drawn out. One salient feature of the dynamic was, how understanding and helpful was the one who assisted the one who was walking. The students brought out other importance values like cooperation, unity, spirit of inter-team competition based on their experience of the team game.

 

Students of Career Training get mock interview experience prior to Market Scan to explore the world of work

11 Feb 2019: Twenty Five students of the Career Training  were given two mock interview experience to give them hands on training prior to Market Scan program which help the trainees to understand the trends and changes in the world of work.  The members are divided into various groups based on their interest in the career they want to pursue. Those who wished to take up the career as professors prepared the questioners for a mock interview with the professors.  Ms. Kabideepa Handique Assistant professor Of English Department and Ms. Mrigakhi Goswami Assistant professor Of Political Science department were invited for the interview. At the end of the interview the invited staff also interacted with them and shared points on how to get more details regarding a particular profession.  At the end of the training, the members presented a brief summary of their experience.

Career Trainees prepare collage posters

25 Sept : With the help of the career facilitators, the Career Trainees prepared collage posters. The students were divided into groups and were asked to prepare a poster each on various careers.  They were given materials to prepare the collage. The trainees came up with very creative ways to present the career of their choice.

22 Sept : Career facilitators organised group discussion today among the participants to assess their learning process and communication skills. This dynamic also helps them to improve their self confidence and mastery of self.

15 Sept : Ms. Sushmita Bora Rongpipi, Career Facilitator conducted activity session for the career trainees. All the members took active participation in the activities.

24 Aug:  The Career Facilitators of the college recruited twenty five students of the first semester for the career training program. They were given a session of group interaction for them. They were divided into groups and were given opportunity for guided group discussion and interaction.  They were given opportunity to share their experience as well. The session lasted 2 hours.

Students participate in career activities

22 March : The participants of Career training program through charts and presentations, summarised their learning sessions with the help of the trainers. The animators encouraged the students to present their learning outcomes in a very creative way.
