27 NCC cadets to participate in the World No Tobacco Day Rally organised by District Health Society and NTCP, Golaghat

30 May 2019: 27 NCC cadets of Don Bosco College are set to participate in the Rally organised by NTCP Golaghat under the leadership of Dr. Sunita Ekka, the District Nodal Officer (NTCP).

The Program is scheduled to start at 10 am at the Civil hospital and the Deputy Commissioner of the Golaghat is the Chief Guest of the Program.

11 Jan : As part of the college week celebrations, 11 January was kept as Anti Tobacco Awareness Day. The day began with Painting competition under the theme “Say No to Tobacco”. Over 150 students participated in the competition.  Dr. Sunita Ekka, Senior Medical Officer – DNO NTCP came along with Ms. Purbali Hazarika – District Media Expert at 10.30 am and interacted with the students and staff and shared about the various measures taken up at the district level in this regard.  Dr. Arundhuti Deka, State Program Officer, NTCP  from Guwahati arrived at the college at 11.00 am and was welcomed by the students. She enlightened the students and the staff on the need to avoid all tobacco products with the help of well illustrated power point presentation. She also invited the students to ensure that the Don Bosco Campus which so clean and well ordered to be kept as a tobacco free campus.
